My First LinkedIn Brand Deal!
Why I'm Obsessed with This Social Channel and Why YOU Should Be Too!
Hey,
It’s Thursday! Next week is Spring Break! What do you have planned?
I think I’ll be home. Spring cleaning, decorating for Easter and getting some work in, best I can (my 11-year old will be home all week).
I got my first paid brand deal on LinkedIn!
Here’s how it happened..
Use LinkedIn for…connections, networking, learning, and making money
I mentioned on Medium or my email newsletter recently that I had secured a brand deal, paid.
That deal is still in the talks and we’re hashing out the payment details but, while that was going on, I got pitched another brand deal and I got paid for it yesterday!
Here’s what you should know…
My LinkedIn has 225 followers
I talk about business, finance, money and side hustles
I syndicate my blog posts to LinkedIn articles
I really don’t do much on LinkedIn right now other than syndicate my blog articles there (I’m starting to syndicate my Medium ones there too!)
Anyway, I got sent an email from a brand that wanted me to review their company similar to another review I published.
I sent some info over, we talked about payment, timelines, and then they paid me less than a week later.
That was yesterday.
This is how much I made…
$250.
I recently saw a girl who was laid off, create and post a heartfelt message about losing her job.
It went viral.
Shortly after, she was made a job offer.
Because of LinkedIn!
Awesomeness.
I’m starting to feel more interested in taking on more writing client work so, I was thinking about putting myself out there and posting an invitation to clients.
Because, closed mouths don’t get fed, right?
Why LinkedIn can work for all creators…
First, it’s THE place for brand deals.
Shortly before getting my first brand deal there, I started to learn how powerful the platform was.
It’s much more than a place for job search.
And, it’s where my audience is.
Do you use LinkedIn?
Tell me about your success/learnings/journey there.
Oh, one more thing…
My Q1 income report is coming out in a few weeks.
It’s reserved for paid members of my Substack so if this isn’t you and you want to see my numbers from my business, you can subscribe here 👇🏾
Plus, paid members get discounts on my products and my personal resource list.
The current freebie I just offered to paid Substack members is my Gumroad Growth Blueprint course ($47).
Anyway, I hope you have a great rest of the day!
If there are any topics you’d like me to cover in upcoming newsletters, please reply or make a comment to let me know!
Cheers,
Jenn
