46 Gumroad sales in October...
Hey there,
Hope your week is going amazing! I just input my numbers for October and I hit nearly 50 sales in Gumroad last month!
Here’s what I’m selling, how I drive traffic, and how I plan to add more digital products before the year ends…
46 Gumroad Sales – How it happened?
On Gumroad I sell ebooks, services, and other digital products.
I’m stoked to get dozens of sales each month. It’s not at the top of the food chain of course but, still pretty good in my eyes.
I started on Gumroad a few years ago, switching from a platform I didn’t have as much success with.
You can read my opinion of Gumroad in my review here if you want to learn more about the platform.
I like Gumroad because…
It’s free to join
Easy to use
Offers boost for added marketing amplification
Has marketing features like affiliates, coupons, and other perks
The biggest draw was that it was free to sign up. I was with another service that I paid $26/month for.
Not a crazy high amount, sure, but, for zero to two sales each month, it felt like a waste of money.
I prefer the setup where you pay a portion of your sales to the platform on each sale.
How do I drive traffic?
I haven’t done any paid campaigns until I dabbled in Pinterest paid ads last month.
Prior to that, I did 100% organic marketing, excluding Gumroad’s boost feature where they feature you and take a cut of the sale if their efforts are successful and result in a sale.
It’s like they are your affiliate!
I promoted with:
Medium
Twitter
First, Medium….
First, I write on Medium A LOT! I’m doing a challenge this month where I’m teaming up with other Medium writers to set a writing goal and hopefully blast through that goal!
My personal goal is 30 stories.
I was writing up to 30-40 stories a month a few years ago but, now I tend to publish 15-20ish stories per month.
Still a lot but, tapered back from previous volume.
Anyway, read this story to make your pledge on how many Medium stories you’ll write if you’re a Medium writer and want to join in on the challenge!
It’s simple with Medium + Gumroad.
I write Medium stories then, I do a little plug at the end.
It looks like this…
So, I close my writing, do the three dots then, post my plug.
In the example pic, this isn’t a plug for one of my Gumroad products but, it’s an example of a plug I use.
I plug:
My Substack newsletter
Gumroad products
Any promotions/sales/deals I’m promoting at the moment
Signing up to my email list
Sometimes I’ll write an entire Medium story about the product or a pain point that the product solves too.
Or share a success story or testimonial.
Next, Twitter…
Twitter is so simple. I pin a little blurb about the product and link to it in my profile. One and done!
I get shared a lot on Twitter but, I don’t tend to post as much. I really want to change that but, it’s hard when I’m juggling so many social media sites already.
Twitter is gold if you can get good at posting a lot.
I don’t think you can post too much on Twitter, which is awesome!
Here’s an example…
Adding more products before 2024!
There are so many ways to do this…
I see a lot of popularity around PLR products. While that’s tempting, I don’t think it’s a shortcut way of selling digital goods for me, given the heavy amount of editing required.
I might as well just start from scratch with a new ebook or digital product.
But, AI does help a ton!
I like using:
KoalaWriter and,
ChatGPT
I’m actually on the 100K plan on KoalaWriter if you can believe it!
I can’t believe I create that much content using this AI assistant but, I love it!
My goal?
10 digital products by year-end.
I have two months to do it! And, I know I can!
I hope your week is going well!
One last thing…
My high-ticket affiliate marketing course for beginners launches in 9 days! It’s on pre-sale right now. After it launches, the price will rise.
I teach my high-ticket affiliate marketing strategy that allows me to work less than 10 hours a month and make a full-time income!
Today I made over $500 so far from high-ticket affiliate commissions and I’ve only been working a few hours total and zero hours on affiliate marketing!
This is a pre-sale and the course launches on November 10th so, closer to that day, you’ll get an email from me with the course access info.
Wanna be an affiliate?

Cheers,
