Hey,
Hope your weekend was great. I took an imprompt day off today after feeling a bit under the weather.
But, I’m well enough to crank out an email.
I’m going to be writing a series called 30 Days of Side Hustles.
With the holidays coming around the corner, I like the idea of sharing side hustles that you can start well in advance of end of year.
So, a newsletter a day, a new side hustle spotlighted and it starts today!
Why tho?
End of year is expensive.
I used to do eBay dropshipping.
Now, my thing has been mass-pitching brands for sponsored campaigns (last 3 months of the years are wickedly busy) and I also just launched a new faceless IG account (it’s at 350 followers in 5 days so far and has already made money).
This is the product I’m selling on that new account.
Anyway, if this time of year approaching feels tight for you and your family, these side hustles could be a solution.
Here’s the first one…
Newsletter Flipping
I start with this one, newsletter flipping, after reading this Reddit post.
2 months. 1,600 subscribers. $4,800 made.
Basically, this agency owner launched a new email newsletter.
Grew it with ads and Reddit posts
Pitched creator-friendly brands (he’d spy on competitors, see who their sponsors were and pitch them)
Landed a 6-month, $4,800 deal with a brand
Now, with this alone, you can keep going and continue monetizing the newsletter and grow it from here.
But, you could also flip it!
How?
Fulfill the 6 month campaign. Take on new smaller campaigns to stack even more money the newsletter is earning. Then, sell it for 5 figures.
You could do this in 30 days.
I would start to monetize at 300 followers. Reddit is incredibly engaging. I’d start posting and commenting there, grow your newsletter with that alone.
Publish to it often.
Pitch brands for sponsorship.
Then, flip it!
I’ve never done this before. Sounds interesting to me, though.
What do you think?
Have a great Monday!
Cheers,
Jenn
