At the start of the year, I made a 2022 bucket list. It was my big list of goals I wanted to achieve.
Now, more than halfway through the year, I’m happy that I’ve met some of those goals but, I’d definitely like to be further along.
Part of that was about hitting a consistent five figures per month and that comes from multiple income streams.
These 3 side hustles are going to help me stay on track with that and this is what I hope to start before summer ends:
Audio course
Skillshare
Email marketing
Audio Courses
Audio courses are just what they sound like.
It’s like listening to a podcast but, you pay to listen.
It’s great for learners that process information well by listening and it’s so easy (I’m assuming) to create, compared to other course formats.
I was approached by Avid.FM a while back to try their platform.
They shared that some of their creators started making up to $20K within a few months with their audio courses and course completion rates are near 80%, which is stellar!
This is something I hope to venture into and if the process is as quick and easy as I’m thinking, I want to build an entire suite of audio courses.
I haven’t heard much about this so if it is in fact “early,” it would be a great opportunity to get in on this from the ground floor.
Skillshare
I’ve been talking about this off and on all year.
Skillshare is a learning platform. It’s like a course marketplace where you can learn about a lot of different topics like:
Creative writing
DIY branding
Landscape photography
Social media copywriting
WordPress web development
And, more!
I’m a total course junkie so I used Skillshare myself in the past. I had an annual membership which I plan on renewing soon.
Anyway, if you’re already in digital courses/online education, it’s a natural pivot to get onto a marketplace.
Skillshare pays you based on your enrollments. So, the more students watch your course videos, the more you make. I learned how lucrative Skillshare is from creator Ali Abdaal.
In one of his YouTube videos, he broke down his $4M/year income, of which around $80K/month of that comes from Skillshare!
I’m tired of delaying this. I must start this project before summer ends.
Email marketing
It’s funny to think about email marketing being a side hustle but, as the saying goes, the money is in the list.
I recently started emailing my old email list regularly and started making product sales like crazy.
With email marketing, you can create sales funnels, tripwires, drive traffic to your blog posts, and other ways to make money.
I’m sitting on a goldmine and I’m not taking advantage of it.
So, I hope to start batch-creating emails and create around half a dozen funnels so I can put some of the work on autopilot and focus on the creative part of the process.
